COUNSELING
Your trusted ally in the fertility journey
YOUR FERTILITY ALLY
The decision to have a baby is complex and often not exactly what we anticipated. While everyone’s fertility journey is unique and your experience can vary widely, we will be your trusted ally along the way.
HOW WE CAN HELP
It is known that stress can result in a diminished quality of life and hinder the body’s ability to function normally and efficiently. Women who have difficulty conceiving suffer as much anxiety and depression as women with heart disease and cancer. Worry and anxiety can hinder fertility. Alleviating stress can help increase the chances of conceiving.
GOOD FAITH ESTIMATE
You may be hearing from other health care providers about new legislation (Section 2799B-6 of the Public Health Service Act) which requires a Good Faith Estimate. Tenn. Code § 56-7-604 already requires me to disclose much of what is in this new legislation. In addition, we are already in a class of providers that is ethically bound to make our fees and estimated course of treatment transparent at the start of our working relationship. Please read below for more info:
We are now required to inform individuals who are not enrolled in a plan or coverage or a Federal health care program, or not seeking to file a claim with their plan or coverage of their ability, upon request or at the time of scheduling health care items and services, to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” of expected charges.
You have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your medical care will cost and the potential course of treatment. If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill. For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, visit: www.cms.gov/nosurprises

WHAT WE DO
The Center for Reproductive Counseling guides individuals and couples through the stress of treatment, adoption resources, family-building options, counseling, counseling for individuals and couples interested in third-party family-building alternatives, and implications counseling for donors and recipients. We also assist in the transition to an adoption plan or child-free living and provide consultation by evaluating potential egg donors and gestational carriers/intended parents for clinics and agencies around the country.
CLIENT TESTIMONIALS
"My husband and I struggled with infertility for several years. We were late starting a family, but I never thought infertility would happen to us. After two pregnancy losses and the subsequent inability to conceive, I became extremely depressed and completely lost all hope. The loss of hope is a terrible thing; I had become afraid to even dare to hope. Because I was 39 years old, my doctors gave us slim chances of having a baby of our own."
— MEGAN
"I began seeing Michele after 5 years of struggling with infertility. My journey thus far had included one ectopic pregnancy, two miscarriages, two surgeries, numerous tests and drugs and more negative pregnancy tests than I would care to count. After watching the calendar every single month for 5 years, I was both physically and emotionally exhausted."
